Dan ships microservices and wants Kubernetes as a service. He pays a flat fee for the control plane and an hourly rate per worker. Take down a worker and his cluster degrades; take down a third of them and his cluster is officially down.

ManagedK8s 3-7 workers × 4 vCPU/16 GB anti-affinity-spread + LoadBalancer (40-160 rps, ~24 KB egress, backend count = node count). Gold SLA, $4k signup. Datacenter+ unlock at REP_GATE_TIER2. Healthy ≥2/3 nodes, degraded between 1/3 and 2/3, down below 1/3.
