Getting Started
Connect the Companion and establish a reliable second-screen workflow.
The Companion reads the current state of an Uptime simulation through the game's Local API. Keep the game running while you use the Companion.
First connection
- Start Uptime and load the simulation you want to observe.
- Enable the Local API in the game if it is not already available.
- Open the Companion in a current Chromium- or Firefox-based browser.
- Confirm the Local API endpoint and select Save & connect.
- Wait for API Connected in the bottom of the sidebar.
The standard local endpoint uses http, host 127.0.0.1, and port 9875. Change these fields only
when your game exposes the API at a different address.
A useful first pass
- Open Dashboard and scan capacity, incidents, and managed services.
- Open Incidents when the dashboard shows active symptoms.
- Use Network Map or Facility Map to locate the affected path or rack.
- Return to Uptime to make the physical or operational change.
Continue with Connection for endpoint and reconnect behavior, or Navigation for the complete sidebar map.
