Prepare for Compliance with a SIEM
Some customers have compliance requirements such as SOC 2 or PCI. Serving them may require an operational SIEM that provides security monitoring and compliance evidence.
What is a SIEM?
SIEM means Security Information and Event Management. It collects and analyzes security information from the infrastructure, helps detect suspicious activity, and supports compliance requirements.
Deploy it before onboarding
Review a prospect's requirements before accepting the contract. If SOC 2 or PCI is listed, deploy the SIEM first and make sure it has power, network connectivity, and enough resources to remain online.
Keep it available
A SIEM becomes critical infrastructure when customers rely on it for compliance. Avoid placing it behind a single point of failure, and verify that it is online and reachable before provisioning services.
